LIVERMORE, CA — The Alameda County Coroner's Bureau confirmed to Patch that 38-year-old Justin Thomas was the victim of a fatal Oct. 17 motorcycle accident on North Mines Road.

Thomas was traveling northbound on North Mines Road the afternoon of Tuesday, Oct. 17, according to a Livermore Police Department news release. A red Honda CR-V traveling southbound was making a left turn onto Shirley Way when it collided with the motorcycle. Police believe the driver, a Livermore resident in her 60s, did not see the motorcyclist and failed to yield.

The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department performed life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Police do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role. The investigation is ongoing.

“JT was absolutely so full of life, could carry on a conversation on just about any topic and with anyone, had a smile you could never forget, played music with all his heart and soul, and was one of the most generous and kind humans you could ever meet,” said a Meal Train fundraiser that is raising money for meals for his family. Thomas was engaged to be married and had three children, according to the description.
