Keurig Recalls Coffee Machines, System Can Overheat

A recall for 7 million of these machines is underway. Some 90 people have been burned by the unit.

If you own the Mini Plus Brewing System by Keurig, with model number K10, apparently you should consider returning it.

Keurig is recalling 7 million of these units, according to NECN, because they can overheat and spray water.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission received some 200 reports of liquid escaping from the brewing system, and 90 consumers reported burn-related injuries.

Consumers, reported the commission, should contact Keurig for a free repair. The units were sold between Dec. 2009 and Dec. 2014 at Kmart, Kohl’s, Target, Walmart and other retailers.
