Crews Tackle Weekend Grass Fire In Martinez

MARTINEZ, CA — A grass fire Saturday morning on Muir Station Road in Martinez was knocked down quickly by Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, sparing any structure damage, according to authorities.

Confire Engine 13 rapidly responded to the morning blaze, the Martinez Police Department said.

"Thanks to the quick work of the firefighters, no property was damaged, and the fire was put out without further incident," the department said.

The agency added: "Also a reminder to be careful as the weather is warm, and there's plenty of dry grass/brush all over, so please be careful."
