MILL VALLEY, CA — Gusty winds and low humidity will continue to raise the threat of wildfires Monday, prompting the National Weather Service to extend a red flag warning for Marin County and the rest of the North Bay.

The red flag warning, which was originally scheduled to expire at 8 a.m. Monday, was extended to 9 p.m. Monday. The red flag warning means that weather conditions will be conducive to the spread of wildfire.

"Gusty north to northeast winds, very low humidity with very poor overnight recovery, and extremely dry fuels will result in critical fire weather conditions through today," weather officials said.
