3 More Coronavirus Cases Confirmed In Napa County

Napa County has now confirmed 18 cases of the new coronavirus, including one death. 68 people are being monitored for possible exposure.

NAPA COUNTY, CA — Health officials on Wednesday announced three more cases of the new coronavirus in Napa County, bringing the county's total to 18, including one death.

The person who died of COVID-19 Tuesday has been identified as Marylou Armer, a Santa Rosa Police Detective who was a 20-year member of the department, most recently assigned to the Domestic Violence Sexual Assault Team.

Of the county's 18 cases, 12 have been city of Napa residents. American Canyon, Calistoga and Saint Helena each have one confirmed case, and three cases belong to unincorporated parts of the county.

The county has tested 391 people for coronavirus as of Wednesday morning, with 280 testing negative and 93 still awaiting results. The county is monitoring 68 people who have had close contact with a confirmed case.

Starting Wednesday, the county said it will publish updates about its coronavirus testing at 10:30 a.m. each morning on its website.
