BottleRock Napa Valley 2015 Nears! See Photos Of Stage, Bleachers Taking Shape

AND ... you're forewarned! The Napa PD will be out in force looking for impaired motorists.

An army of workers is busy bringing all the pieces together for the highly anticipated BottleRock Napa Valley 2015 - the three-day festival of music, food and fun which runs Friday through Sunday at the Napa Valley Exposition Grounds at 575 Third St. in Napa.

The Napa Police Department, meanwhile, reminds locals and festival attendees that the DUI Enforcement Team will be deployed this weekend to stop and arrest alcohol- and drug-impaired drivers.

DUI Saturation Patrols will be out in force this weekend during BottleRock between 7 p.m. and 3 a.m. in areas around the Napa Valley Expo, police said.

The department issued the following statement:

“If you’re drinking and driving, law enforcement will find and arrest you. No warnings, no excuses. The only way to truly avoid a DUI is to drive sober. There are many ways to get home safely after drinking, and driving isn’t one of them. Designate a sober driver ahead of time, or call a friend or family member.

You could also use public transportation (VINE Transit which is free for BottleRock ticket holders) or call a taxi. The cost of cab fare is nothing compared to a $10,000 DUI or the cost of someone’s life, and the ‘inconvenience’ of not driving your own car home is nothing compared to the inconvenience of spending time behind bars.”

One of the notable celebrity acts scheduled for BottleRock ran into trouble Thursday in Nevada. Flavor Flav, 56, was pulled over by the Nevada Highway Patrol in Las Vegas for suspicion of speeding and was also booked for alleged marijuana possession, driving with a suspended license and an open container, TMZ reported. Hopefully someone else will be driving him to BottleRock Napa Valley.
