Kona Ice Of North Marin Hosts $1 Challenge For Feeding America

The local business is challenging people to give $1 and selling shaved ice​ from 1-5 p.m. Monday at the Square Shopping Center in Novato. ​

NOVATO, CA — Kona Ice of North Marin is holding a fundraiser Monday to help people impacted by the new coronavirus pandemic.

The business, which is owned by Corey and Adela Jacobson, is challenging people to give $1 and selling shaved ice from 1-5 p.m. at the Square Shopping Center in Novato.

All donations will go to Feeding America, according to Kona Ice of North Marin. Everyone who donates will get a Kona Ice shaved ice upgrade.

"People are in need, and we are an organization that is known to give back and put smiles on people's faces, and right now people need it more than ever before," Adela Jacobson said.

Earlier this month, Kona Ice of North Marin collected non-perishable items for Bahia Vista Elementary School.
