20 Trapped On Incredicoaster Amid Summer Heat At Disney CA Adventure
Disneyland employees, also known as Cast Members, wore safety harnesses as they helped guests get off the ride in a "standard evacuation."
ANAHEIM, CA — A handful of Disneyland Resort's rollercoaster riders survived an "incredible" adventure Sunday when the ride halted above the Paradise Pier midway.
At about 1:30 p.m., the Incredicoaster came to a halt mid-ride. About 20 coaster riders were stuck about 120 feet above Disney CA Adventure for about half an hour, a park spokesperson said. The workers — also known as Cast Members — provided the trapped guests with umbrellas and water as they coordinated a safe way down, they said.
According to the National Weather Service, Anaheim was just under 90 degrees during the guest-extraction.

The riders were never in danger during the incident. "This was a standard evacuation of a ride at the park," they said.
The reason behind the Incredicoaster's breakdown is unknown, and no one was upside down when the ride closed.
