SANTA ANA, CA — More than 300 people in Orange County flocked to the Orange County Clerk-Recorder's Office in Santa Ana to get married Tuesday.

The rush of weddings was attributed to the significance of Tuesday's date being a palindrome, 2/22/22, the Clerk-Recorder's Office said. The office issued 335 marriage licenses and performed 327 civil ceremonies for the day.

The numbers broke the office's Valentine'sDay 2014 record, which was 310 marriage licenses issued and 266 civil ceremonies performed.
