"This year’s Kenneth T. Norris, Jr. Heritage of Freedom Award keynote speaker is Mark Langill, the team historian of the Los Angeles Dodgers. A local talent from South Pasadena, he fell in love with baseball listening to stories from Vin Scully on the radio. He attended his first Dodger game in 1972 and remembers, “like it was yesterday”, sitting in aisle 44, row M seat number 1. After several years covering sports for the Pasadena Star he joined the Dodgers’ front office. He is the author of six books about baseball including, All for One, the official commemorative book of the 2020 World Series champions. His many television appearances include ESPN and the History Channel.

"The Van Dine Family Americanism Award will be presented to Monique Sugimoto, Archivist and Local History Librarian with the Palos Verdes Library District (PVLD). Monique was instrumental in the creation of the Doors Open Peninsula Commemorative Booklet celebrating 100 Years of history on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Monique is the broadcaster of the entertaining electric bike tour video series, Pedal PV which airs on PVLD’s YouTube channel. Monique is also adjunct faculty with UCLA Department of Information Students and volunteers with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Village."
