Annual July 4th Parade, Picnic & Pancake Breakfast 2024: Piedmont

This Friday Nights at OMCA the Garden stage will be transformed into a multimedia musical experience! Audiopharmacy crafts an enchanting soundscape by combining Hip Hop, Soul, and Jazz with global music genres and turntablism and then pairs it with Indigenous chanting and knowledge, movement, and visual projection that come together to cultivate healing and unity to inspire change.&nbsp;
&nbsp;
Let's Lab w/ Marika Sage! will add to the swell of rhythmic healing with an alternative and highly expressive solo set that encourages creative vulnerability and authentic expression. And The Evening Star will crest the healing sonic wave and remind audiences what freedom is with an inspiring DJ set. Spinning Traditional Indigiqueer Earthlodge Disco, DK Echohawk encourages audiences to dance, groove, revolt, remember, live, and be free.&nbsp;

In addition to an outstanding event experience, every Friday Nights at OMCA&nbsp; also offers guests a well-rounded gallery experience with Gallery Chats. Unlike the traditional museum tour, Gallery Chats invites visitors to chat, ask questions and connect with our OMCA facilitators who combine content knowledge with lived experience to encourage meaningful dialogue and fresh interpretations of our exhibitions. Cultivate and spread good energy with us this Friday Nights at OMCA!&nbsp;

Friday Nights at OMCA with Audiopharmacy World Hip Hop Ensemble

After selling out venues throughout the country, the smash-hit, all-Native comedy show, Good Medicine, returns to the Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) for a one-night-stand of stand-up! Hosted and produced by comedian Jackie Keliiaa (Netflix) the showcase features the best and brightest Native comedians across North America. Since the show's humble beginnings, Good Medicine has sold-out shows across the country and featured comedians hailing from over 30 tribal Nations who have been seen on Comedy Central, Netflix, ABC, NBC, FX and more.&nbsp; &nbsp;
&nbsp;
More than a comedy show, Good Medicine cultivates joy, community and creates narrative change while using comedy to heal and build bridges. OMCA welcomes guests to take this opportunity to experience this nationally acclimated showcase featuring fresh and diverse Native Voices. Costume Contest: Embrace the undead spirit! While zombie costumes are optional, we encourage you to unleash your inner zombie. Prizes will be awarded for the best individual costumes and the most outstanding group ensemble. Enter the contest during the beer tasting, and winners will be announced immediately after the event at Main Street Plaza.

Whether you're a craft beer enthusiast, a lover of the supernatural, or just looking for a frightfully good time, the Downtown Martinez Zombie Beer Walk is the place to be.
