Picture Connecticut: The Latest Low-Fare Carrier

NEW HAVEN, CT — This week's Picture Connecticut tour takes us to Tweed-New Haven Airport.

Avelo is a low-cost airline making a name for itself out of Tweed, with destinations like Raleigh-Durham and several in Florida on its schedule.

Fares can be less than $100, round trip, but the base price only includes a bag that can fit under the seat. Add-ons include seats with extra leg room and checking larger bags.
