MANCHESTER, CT — This week's Picture Connecticut image takes us back to Thanksgiving Day, when Weini Kelati won her third straight women's title at the Manchester Road Race. She is pictured on the inside of the pack near Mile 4 of the race.

Kelati will be giving the Paris Olympics a nice Connecticut Connection after winning the women's 10,000 meters at the U.S. 2024 Olympic Track and Field trials on June 29 in Eugene, OR.

She earned a spot on the Olympic team with a time of 31:41.07, a half-second ahead of Parker Valby and Karissa Schweizer, who also joined her on the 10,000-meter team.
