ROCKY HILL, CT — This week's image in the Picture Connecticut series takes us to the Rocky Hill police dock on the Connecticut River, where a patrol boat sits peacefully until the next call.
It's been anything but peaceful on that stretch of the river this spring and summer, with heavy rains causing havoc like breakaway docks, floating debris and high water levels leading to flooding.
The RHPD acquired its first motorboat in 1997 and has been a presence on the river ever since.
