Picture Connecticut: The Tobacco Harvest
The latest installment of the Picture Connecticut series.
EAST WINDSOR, CT — The latest installment of the Picture Connecticut series takes us to a tradition in the Connecticut River Valley — the late-summer tobacco harvest.
Workers are pictured at a farm parcel on Route 140 in East Windsor harvesting the crop, which was then transported to special barns for curing.
Connecticut Valley tobacco is generally regarded as some of the finest cigar wrappers.
