Picture Connecticut: A Vintage Gas Pump

SOMERS, CT — This week's installment of the Picture Connecticut series takes us to a vintage gas pump on Route 83 in Somers.

The pump sits at Supreme Auto, a family owned and operated garage and sales center that has been around since since 1986. Larry Pettit, the owner and master technician, has been in the business for more than 40 years.

The secret wish of drivers pulling into Supreme Auto is that the pump was still working, since gas was about 23 cents per gallon when it was operational.
