CONNECTICUT — Eliza Kruczynski, a reporter at WFSB - Channel 3, for the past two years, announced on Wednesday that she is leaving the Hartford-based station.

"Closing this chapter is bittersweet, but these last 2 years in Connecticut have been some of the best yet," Kruczynski wrote on Facebook. "I can’t thank my amazing colleagues & the community enough. Thank you for welcoming me into your homes and allowing me to share your stories every single day."

"But now, it’s time to move on," she added. "Stay tuned for what’s next!"

Kruczynski, who hails from Boston, is a Quinnipiac University grad, and prior to WFSB, she was an anchor and reporter at a station in Augusta, Georgia, for a couple of years.

Though Wednesday was her last day at WFSB, she reportedly will not be out of work for long. The Laurel writes that she is taking a job at an undisclosed Boston station.

Mark Zinni, one of Kruczynski's co-workers at WFSB, says that she will be missed at the station.

"Please help me wish her the best as she goes home to a new job by her family in Boston," Zinni wrote on Facebook. "Eliza is truly an incredible person, and I’m so happy for her — but we’ll miss her in the newsroom where she has been part of the evening team for a long time. Congratulations Eliza!"
