$3.3 Million Settlement After Bridgeport Family Killed In Crash

A woman and two children were killed in the crash.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — AutoZone has agreed to pay a $3.3 million settlement after three people from Bridgeport were killed in a crash involving one of the company's trucks.

Jesenia Valentin, 29, her 9-year-old daughter Angelina Rodriguez and her 12-year-old niece Asyria Ferrer were killed in June 2016 when an AutoZone truck struck the family's vehicle in Wawayana, N.Y., according to the Connecticut Post.

Valentin ran out of gas in the right lane of I-84 and put on her hazard lights and called 911. The vehicle was struck while she made the call.
