The Saybrook Point Resort & Marina has been named one of the 15 most beautiful hotels in the country, according to a travel site.
OLD SAYBROOK, CT — The Saybrook Point Resort & Marina has been named one of the 15 most beautiful hotels in the country. The travel site Trips to Discover recently released its picks and included the Old Saybrook establishment.
The site devised the list based on each hotel's "selection of magnificent views, impressive architecture, luxurious spas, top-notch dining, and of course, comfortable rooms."
Trips to Discover gave points to the "absolutely stunning" Saybrook Point Resort & Marina for its indoor and outdoor saltwater pools, luxurious spa, and outstanding waterfront restaurant.

"Accommodation is in everything from well-appointed rooms in the main hotel building, the Lighthouse Suite with magnificent sunrise views and vistas of Long Island Sound, and two guest houses, complete with full kitchens and game rooms," the article reads.
The resort is known for its eco-friendly policies and was the first Green-Lodging certified hotel.

The Saybrook Point Resort & Marina receives a 4.6-star rating on TripAdvisor and has 1,490 reviews.
Other hotels on the list include the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay in California, The Greenbrier in West Virginia, and Hotel Alyeska in Alaska.
