Police Close Investigation of Alleged Trump-Infused Harassment at Danbury High School

Police had been investigating a video that allegedly shows a man harassing students coming out of the school holding a Trump sign.

DANBURY, CT — Danbury Police were unable to get a warrant approved for the arrest of a man accused of waving a "Trump" sign and harassing students outside of Danbury High School, and the investigation is now closed.

According to police, witness statements and video evidence shows a man who appeared to be intoxicated waving the sign and engaged in a conversation with several youths believed to be students on Jan. 20. Police say that the youths took exception to the sign, and the man allegedly made a reference to "(expletive) illegals being out of the country."

Police say that a physical altercation ensued after the man went back to his car, and the man declined to press charges. No one was injured. However, Mayor Mark Boughton said on Twitter that the man has been banned from school property.
