Details Emerge in Child Pornography Arrest of Connecticut Meteorologist Justin Goldstein

The suspended 33-year-old WTNH-TV meteorologist was arrested on July 13 following an investigation that began in June.

HAMDEN, CT — Justin Goldstein, the suspended 33-year-old WTNH-TV meteorologist arrested last week on child pornography charges, allegedly downloaded three video clips of adults engaged in sex acts with girls under 13 years of age, reports the New Haven Register.

Connecticut State Police investigators said they believe Goldstein used computer peer-to-peer file-sharing to download the clips, which in the process allegedly stamped his computer IP address to the transfer, which state police were able to track.

The clips, which range in duration from 29 seconds to about three minutes, depict adult men engaged in sex acts with girls believed to be between the ages of 4 and 13, according to court documents.

Goldstein was arrested last week on charges of promoting a minor in an obscene performance and first-degree illegal possession of child pornography. He was held on a $200,000 bond. He was taken into custody last week at his job, State Police said at the time.
