EAST HARTFORD, CT β€” A longtime anchor at ESPN is crediting state police, seat belts, and airbags for helping him walk away from a serious single-vehicle crash Sunday unharmed.

Sportscenter anchor Randy Scott, who has been with the Bristol-based cable television sports giant since 2012, said Sunday he was involved in a serious crash that totaled his vehicle.

Scott said it happened amid the heavy rains that came and went several times over the weekend.
