A blizzard brought down heavy snow along Connecticut's shoreline and it's not over just yet.

Most of the state is under some type of winter weather warning or advisory as snow continues to fall on the state. The Connecticut shoreline is the most affected with some areas expecting up to a foot of snow. A blizzard warning is in effect until 7 a.m. Sunday for souther Fairfield, southern New Haven, southern Middlesex and southern New London counties. Metro-North suspended service starting at 4 p.m. and while there is no travel ban in place, Gov. Dannel Malloy is asking residents to be safe and is closely monitoring state roads.
