Why my mom rocks

I am nominating my mom to be a Mother’s Day Superstar because of the amazing things she does not only in around the house but (it seems like) everywhere in New Canaan!

First off, my mom is the most hardworking person I know. She supports all four of her kids, three at NCHS and one at Saxe Middle School, by driving us to this sport and that friend’s house and to any organization or event we could possibly have to go to. She makes time to be at any sport game or meet we may have that week, including track, lacrosse, swimming, basketball or even football, and most of the time a combination of any of these. She volunteers to help bring food to team dinners, and is an accountant and treasurer for a number of organizations I can’t even begin to name. And even through all of this, she somehow has time to make dinner for us.

Not only this, but my mom always finds time to work out to the most extreme degree. My mom does IRONMAN races, which consist of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, finished off with a full marathon. I don’t know if you just had a heart attack reading that, but I sure did after writing it. My mom has completed 4 of these death races, while somehow still managing to be a full-time mom.
