Man Sentenced for Fatal Drunk Driving Crash in Stratford: Report

The man was accused of causing the 2015 crash on the Merritt Parkway that killed a Bridgeport resident.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 28-year-old Bridgeport chiropractor was sentenced to four years in prison Tuesday in connection with an April 2015 fatal drunken driving crash on the Merritt Parkway in Stratford that killed a 27-year-old Bridgeport man.

Jonathan Rosa-Whitlock was sentenced to 10 years, suspended after four years served, by Superior Court Judge Earl Richards, reports the Connecticut Post. Rosa-Whitlock will then be on probation for another five years.

The accident, which occurred near exit 53 on April 26, 2015, killed Jesus Rivera. Rosa-Whitlock pleaded guilty to charges of second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle and second-degree assault with a motor vehicle.
