COLCHESTER, CT β€” State officials are attempting to stop a COVID-19 outbreak at a Colchester nursing home that has killed five people, according to The Hartford Courant. Currently 53 residents and 12 staff members at Genesis HealthCare on Harrington Court have been infected.

The first death at the facility, which has 76 residents, occurred on Sept. 26. The state Department of Health has conducted numerous surveys of Genesis and found infection control issues, according to The Hartford Courant.
