Life-Saving East Windsor K-9 Dies At Age 15

Officer Mack served the department for nearly a decade and is credited with saving lives.

EAST WINDSOR, CT - East Windsor police recently made the difficult decision to euthanize K-9 Officer Mack, who served the department from July 2005 to July 2014. Mack was 15 years old and could no longer walk. In recent years, Mack was a family pet of his handler, Sgt. David McNeice.

The department included several highlights of Mack's career. In 2012, Mack is credited with saving a life, as he located a man lying in the bushes 50 yards away from his vehicle who was in desperate need of medical attention.

He also assisted the Bloomfield Police Department in 2012 by helping to track down an elderly Alzheimer's patient who had gone missing. She had fallen down an embankment and was in a creek when emergency responders found her. Mack is credited with saving her life as well.
