Georgetown Veteran-Run Bakery Celebrates Grand Opening This Weekend

Dog Tag Bakery will open its doors for breakfast, lunch, and dessert Dec. 6.

After months of training, testing, and gaining support, Dog Tag Bakery will welcome its first customers.

The grand opening of the bakery will take place starting 8 a.m. Saturday. Located at 3206 Grace Street NW, Dog Tag Bakery employs veterans and their spouses in baking and business positions who have gone through a tailored curriculum at Georgetown University. The bakery gives 100 percent of profits to the military and their families.

  • Monday & Tuesday: Closed
  • Wednesday to Friday: 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday: 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The menu includes a variety for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Different coffee and teas, including specialty drinks like cappuccinos and green chai, are available as well.

Dog Tag Bakery offers catering and takes mail orders as well.
