Amazon Fresh Opens Second DC-area Store In Logan Circle

The Amazon Fresh store in Logan Circle will use Just Walk Out technology, which offers customers the option of skipping the checkout line.

WASHINGTON, DC — A new Amazon Fresh grocery store in Logan Circle opened to the public on Thursday at 7 a.m., marking the store’s second location in the Washington, D.C. area.

This new Logan Circle store follows the opening of the Amazon Fresh store in Franconia two months ago, and is the 15th Amazon Fresh store to open across the country.

The store will use Just Walk Out technology, which offers customers the option of skipping the checkout line. Upon entering the store, customers can scan the QR code in their Amazon app.

Customers can then shop like normal. Anything they take off the shelf is automatically added to their virtual cart, and anything they put back on the shelf comes out of their virtual cart. At the end of their trip, customers simply exit the store.

The new Logan Circle store is located at 1733 14th Street, NW. Store hours will be from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on a daily basis.

Amazon Fresh offers a wide assortment of national brands as well as produce, meat and seafood, as well as a range of prepared foods at low prices. The store will donate any surplus food to local food banks.
