Clearwater Man Accused Of Having Photos Of Child Sexual Abuse

The investigation began in March when an IP address was identified advertising child pornography available for download and distribution.

LARGO, FL — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Largo Police Department have arrested Andrew Carlson, 43, of Clearwater on two counts of transmission of child sexual abuse material and 11 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.

The investigation began in March when an IP address was identified advertising child pornography available for download and distribution. Carlson was the sole resident and account holder for internet service at the address.

A search warrant led to the discovery of multiple images of child sexual abuse material, some featuring children as young as 6 years old, on a computer seized from Carlson’s residence.

Carlson was booked into the Pinellas County Jail Thursday.
