First Armored Vehicle Dealership In U.S. Opens In Florida

WEST PARK, FL — The first armored vehicle dealership in the U.S. recently opened in South Florida.

Miami Armored, which opened at 2409 SW 59th Terrace in West Park, offers bulletproof versions of high-end vehicles, according to a news release.

With a slogan of “even the powerful need protection,” the company said it offers “an unprecedented combination of luxury and security for everyday customers.”

“We are thrilled to bring a new level of safety and sophistication to the Miami area,” said Philip Daskal, president, said. “Our mission is to provide peace of mind without compromising on style, and we believe our selection of armored vehicles does just that.”

Vehicles offered through Miami Armored include the Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz G63, S-Class and Mercedes-Maybach, among others. They can be shipped anywhere in the world.

Most vehicles sold by Miami Armored carry a Level BR6 rating, which means they can withstand assault fire from 7.62mm rounds and explosions from up to two hand grenades, the company said.

They also have multi-layer bullet-resistant glass, reinforced door hinges and other structural points, reinforced suspension, run-flat devices, upgraded brake packages, entire perimeter protection of the passenger compartment, and protection for battery, fuel tank, and electronic control module. Light armoring packages are also available.
