The Westminster at Crabapple neighborhood in Alpharetta on Saturday organized a trick-or-treating event for Ryan Ehlidil, 4.

An Alpharetta child whose stay in the hospital forced him to miss Halloween got a special treat over the weekend.

The Westminster at Crabapple neighborhood on Saturday organized trick-or-treating for Ryan Ehildi, 4, who spent 20 days last month at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Bob Kilmartin, who helped organized the event, said the neighborhood partnered with the Georgia Garrison of the 501st Legion to bring several characters from Star Wars to trick or treat with Ryan.

While he was in the hospital, Kilmartin said Darth Vader and a Storm trooper paid Ryan a visit, with Vader promising to return with more Storm troopers so they can trick or treat together.

Along with the event, the neighborhood also raised money for the hospital, a request made by 501st Georgia.
