Independent judges evaluate nominations to identify 20 events across the region each month. The STS Events publication receives extensive exposure in print media, web, television and radio in the U.S. and Canada. Over 1,600 newspapers, magazines, radio and television stations and AAA’s receive the listings.

“We are thrilled that the Taste of Alpharetta has been selected to appear in the STS Top 20 listings for 2015,” said Janet Rodgers, president and CEO of the Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau. “The event has always been extremely popular to residents and visitors, and we feel this designation will help us spread the word about the event throughout the Southeast and across the country.”

This year, the Taste of Alpharetta falls on May 7 and will be in its 25th year. Set in historic downtown Alpharetta, the festival celebrates the city’s diverse flavors by featuring over 50 local restaurants. The event has become a unique annual tradition for Alpharetta, attracting over 50,000 people to come sample the city’s best foods. Festival goers will enjoy samples of appetizers, entrees, and indulgent desserts while strolling through downtown streets.

Admission and parking for the event are free and patrons are encouraged to purchase food and activity tickets to use throughout the event. A pack of 10 tickets are $5. These tickets can be redeemed at restaurant booths for a selection of food samples or activity tents for a wide range of fun events. Activity tickets can be redeemed at family-friendly fun zones for many activities such as rock climbing, balloon art, henna tattoos, and inflatables.

This year the festival will feature live music, family fun zones, and culinary competitions. Local musicians will perform and showcase Alpharetta’s wide variety of musical talent.
