27 Forsyth County Students to Attend Governor's Honors Program

The program invites gifted and talented students to a residential summer program.

Twenty-seven of Forsyth County Schools’ brightest rising juniors and seniors have been invited to attend the Georgia’s Governor’s Honors Program this summer.

The Georgia Governor’s Honors Program is a residential summer program that runs from mid-June to mid-July and offers gifted and talented students the opportunity to study in a program that provides academic, cultural and social enrichment.

Students will stay on a college or university campus, attend classes in the mornings and afternoons in their targeted areas of study and participate in a variety of social and instructional opportunities in the evenings.

The program offers special areas of study in: agriculture science, Chinese, communicative arts, engineering and design, dance, French, German, Latin, mathematics, music (brass, jazz percussion, piano, strings, vocal and woodwinds), science, Spanish, social studies, technology, theatre and visual arts.
