Army National Guard Readiness Center Hosting Community Day in Cumming
The event will showcase the region's National Guard contingent along with local public safety departments and also features fun activities.
The Georgia Army National Guard’s Regional Readiness Center in Cumming will host its second annual Community Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 6.
Community Day will feature local public safety departments as well as some of the regional National Guard assets. Cumming and Forsyth County businesses will also be on hand, Access North Georgia reports.
Activities offered at Community Day include arts and crafts, an obstacle course for kids, a smoke house for practicing fire safety and fire escape techniques, and other hands-on fun.

The center is located at 100 Aquatic Center off of Pilgrim Mill Road.
