Cumming Residents Graduate from Citizen's Law Enforcement Academy

The 10-week program gives county residents a hands-on learning experience with law enforcement and modern police work.

Several Forsyth County residents recently graduated from the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office’s Citizen’s Law Enforcement Academy, giving them an in-depth understanding of how the rule of law is maintained within county borders.

The 10-week course closely follows the actual hands-on training Forsyth County deputies undergo. All instructors in the program are Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office employees.

Topics include Constitutional law, conducting traffic stops, judgmental use of force, K-9 and S.W.A.T. demonstrations, ride-alongs with deputies and much more.
