Falcons Donate $30K to Northside Hospital

The gift represents a continued partnership between the football team and hospital that delivers more babies than anywhere else in the U.S.

Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn, defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux and center Joe Hawley recently made an appearance at Northside Hospital Forsyth with a hefty check in hand.

The Falcons presented a $30,000 check to the Northside Hospital Foundation with Lynn Jackson, Northside Hospital Forsyth Administrator, according to the Forsyth Herald.

The large donation represents a partnership between the football team and the hospital, according to Forsyth County News.

The partnership between the two organizations recently finished its first year, during which, the Falcons gave to the hospital for every sack its players made in the 2014 season and every reception made during the Breast Cancer Awareness game in Atlanta that the hospital sponsored, the news outlet reports.

Quinn was not with the team during the 2014 season, but says the partnership between the football team and hospital will continue.

“I couldn’t be more proud to be here,” Quinn said, according to Forsyth Herald. “For me to learn that [the hospital] deliver[s] more babies than anywhere else in the United States, that’s doing it better than it’s ever been done.”
