Forsyth Sheriff's Office Getting into Halloween Spirit with Facebook Contest

Cumming pumpkin carvers can display their work and win a chance to be named the county's best carver and have their pumpkin featured online.

It may be the only time of the year when the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office encourages residents to get out their knives.

The Sheriff’s Office is giving pumpkin carvers a weekend to get their creative juices flowing and create masterful works of art to be entered into a contest that will run on their Facebook page beginning on Monday. That morning, the Sheriff’s Office will open the contest with a post on their timeline, and contestants must respond to that post with a picture of their creation.

The pumpkin with the most likes on Facebook by the end of Tuesday morning will be declared the winner and its creator will be named the best pumpkin carver in the county. As an added bonus, the pumpkin will be used as the Sheriff’s Office’s banner image for the entire week.
