Paulding Wrestlers Bring Home First State Championships

Bradley Bitting of North Paulding and Michael Farmer of South Paulding both claimed state titles this season.

Wrestlers Bradley Bitting of North Paulding and Michael Farmer of South Paulding both claimed state titles this season.

Bitting wrestled at 106 pounds and won his title in AAAAAA and Farmer wrestled at 220 in AAAAA and both completed the season as the best in their respective weight classes.

Congratulations to both of these young men as they became the first state champions in wrestling at their schools.

Bitting of North went undefeated in his first three matches to make it to the finals at 106 lb. In the finals he defeated Eric Diemert from Lambert High School.

Farmer from South also won his first three matches to gain a spot in the finals at 220 lb. In the finals he defeated Aaron Thomas of Ola High School.

Both of these young men represented their school and the Paulding County School System well. Congratulations to you on your outstanding seasons and your State Championship.
