PCSD Coaches Name Winter Athletes of the Year

At the end of each sports season, Fall, Winter and Spring, the head coaches of the Paulding County School District nominate and vote for the Players of the Year in each sport.

For the Fall sports they selected a Player of the Year in Basketball (male and female), Swimming and Wrestling.

The Player of the Year awards will be presented at the April 21, 2015, meeting of the PCSD Board of Education.

The following students were selected as the Player of the Year.

• Basketball: Jalen Browder, East Paulding; Kelsi Fizer, South Paulding
• Swimming: Jordan Neiswender, North Paulding
• Wrestling: Bradley Bitting, North Paulding; Michael Farmer, South Paulding

(Photo: The Hiram High School girls basketball team excelled this year! Their overall record was 24 wins and 4 losses. The Region 5-AAAAA record was impressive with 17 wins and only 1 loss. Coach Caldwell led the girls to win Hiram’s first Region Championship in the school’s history and the girls made it to the State Tournament for the second year in a row.)
