The Douglas County Public Education Trust (PET) is proud to offer scholarships to deserving students within the Douglas County School System. Consideration for any scholarship award is based on financial need and a point system including GPA, participation in extra-curricular activities, school organizations, and community service.

Nora McDonald Memorial Scholarship
The Nora McDonald Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2012 to honor the memory of Ms. Nora McDonald to fund scholarships for Douglas County School System seniors who attended the College and Career Institute (CCI). Ms. McDonald served as the Office Manager at the CCI from 2009 until the time of her death in 2011. Scholarships will be offered to one eligible male and one eligible female senior in an initial amount not to exceed $300 per student. Gold’s Gym Scholarship
Gold’s Gym is offering one $4,000 scholarships to a graduating senior to be selected from the five high schools in the Douglas County School System. This scholarship will be presented through the Public Education Trust, Inc. (PET).

Don Remillard Scholarship Fund
The Don Remillard Scholarship Fund was established in 2010 in honor of retired Douglas County School Superintendent Don Remillard to fund scholarships for Douglas County Performance Learning Center students upon their graduation from the program. Up to two scholarships will be offered each school year to an eligible graduate in an amount not to exceed $500 per student. This scholarship is presented through the cooperation of the Public Education Trust, Inc. (PET).

Billie Yancey Memorial Scholarship
The Billie Yancey Estate is offering three $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from the high schools in the Douglas County School System. This scholarship is made possible through the generosity of the Billie Yancey Estate and is presented through the Public Education Trust, Inc. (PET).
