Community Assistance Center Sends SOS for Food Donations

The Community Assistance Center is running dangerously low on food.

Supplies usually run low at the pantry during the summer months. The pantry is asking the community to donate non-perishable foods or donate money online.

The most needed food items include canned vegetables, canned meats, tomato sauce, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, rice and soup.

Tickets are also available now for the Vintage Affair, the Community Assistance Center’s largest annual benefit. The event takes place on Saturday, Oct. 18 at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal Church, 805 Mt. Vernon Highway NW, Atlanta. Join for a night of food, wine and auctions. The money raised from the event will go towards preventing homelessness and hunger. Tickets are $110 per person and $200 per couple.
