Dunwoody Elementary Garden Harvest Under Way
The school's organic garden is offering up sweet potatoes planted in the spring.
Reader Jodi Fink Halpert shared a fun photo of Dunwoody Elementary School second-grade students harvesting sweet potatoes.
The class planted their crop last spring in their organic gardens. Students were a part of the planting process through the harvesting of the sweet potatoes.
Over 1,000 sweet potatoes were harvested in the past week. Parent volunteers made some yummy recipes to share with each classroom, for a well deserved treat, Fink Halpert says.
