What’s cuter than a cat dressed as a clown, or a puppy in a pumpkin outfit? At LifeLine Animal Project, we can’t think of much, so we’re holding a “Howl-O-Ween” contest to see how adorable your pets look dressed up!

Just take a picture of your sweetie in their Halloween costume, add the hashtag #LifeLineHalloween, post it on our Facebook, Twitter or Instagram page (you’ll need to Like or Follow us), and you’ll be entered in our contest.

The grand prize winner will receive a year’s supply of pet food, free microchipping for up to three pets, and a year of free vaccinations!And the first runner up will get a $50 pet store gift certificate. DeKalb County Animal Services Pets of the Week: Georgio and Balboa

And speaking of cute, this week’s Pets of the Week fall into the adorable category! If you want a cute, Little-Rascalish looking boy (think Petey), who has a ring around one eye and is easy going, then you have to meet Georgio. This happy two-year-old boxer mix, called ‘Lovebug’ by the staff, is friendly to everyone and enjoys being around people. Georgio is also smart and already knows how to sit.

If you already have a dog, no problem. Georgio get along great with other dogs and would make a good doggie sibling. And since we’ve extended our “Fall in Love” promotion, if you adopt Georgio by October 31, you’ll pay no adoption fee!

Another precious guy who is waiting at the shelter for you is Balboa. This lab/chow mix is about three year’s old and is a big goofy bundle of love. Balboa loves to play ball, give the staff kisses and play with other dogs. He has an upbeat disposition and will make you laugh with his silly personality. Balboa is also affectionate and is the kind of dog that you and your kids will enjoy hugging on. And Under our “Fall in Love” promotion, if you adopt Balboa by the end of October, you will get this great boy who has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped for FREE!
