Tim Crunk, the athletic director and assistant principal at East Cobb’s Sprayberry High School, died suddenly of a heart attack on June 18, 2012. He had been an educator for 28 years and had become a fixture in Cobb County.

During a 2010 mission trip, Crunk was introduced to the community of Chadirac, Haiti. Crunk fell in love with the town, and even made a YouTube video during his seven-day stay in the community. Crunk was dedicated to Chadirac, and helped spearhead the effort to build a school in the impoverished community. That school held a groundbreaking ceremony in July.
