Movie Crew To Hit Downtown Lawrenceville

The film will be shot around the downtown square on Thursday, Friday, Monday and Tuesday.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Hollywood has made it's way to Lawrenceville again.

A movie crew is shooting downtown, in Lawrenceville Square, for the rest of this week and the first part of next week, city officials announced Thursday.

That's going to mean some road closures, and possibly some other mild inconveniences for folks who live and work downtown.

On Thursday and Friday, movie crews will be preparing the courthouse grounds for filming.

They will be using all of the parking spaces along Pike Street and Crogan Street near the courthouse for their trucks and equipment, said Lisa Sherman, Lawrenceville's director of economic and community development.

The film shoot itself will be taking place on Monday and Tuesday, from about 6 a.m.-10 p.m.

All of the parking spaces mentioned above will again be used. Perry Street will be closed and one lane of Clayton Street, adjacent to the courthouse, also will close for trucks loading in and out on the set.

Sherman said a representative will be reaching out to all downtown businesses that will be directly impacted by the closures.
