MIDTOWN, GA — Two of the five women who were shot in the May 3 shooting at a Northside Hospital medical facility were employees of Northside's Laureate Medical Group, the hospital said in a news release Monday.

Both women are being treated at Grady Memorial Hospital, according to the release. Two more women were also injured in the shooting. One is being treated at Grady, and the fourth woman was released from the hospital. A fifth woman, Amy St. Pierre, died in the Midtown shooting. All of the women were between the ages of 25 and 71.

The accused gunman, Deion Patterson, 24, led police on an hourslong multi-agency manhunt that ended in Cobb County. He remained in the Fulton County Jail Tuesday on one count of murder and four counts of aggravated assault charges, according to jail records.

Employees and patients affected by the shooting are being helped, hospital staff said in the release.

"Employees and physicians are returning to the facility — reuniting under a heavy cloud of grief yet resuming their important services to their patients and their families. They are being greeted by additional uniformed security officers, Northside spiritual leaders, human resources representatives and behavioral and spiritual health counselors," the hospital said in the release.

"Physicians are encouraged to participate in a peer-to-peer support service, also being provided at Northside Midtown. The Caring for the Caregiver support group will be onsite and activated this Wednesday, May 10."

The families of the five women are being supported by an onsite spiritual health team and the Northside Hospital Foundation. A fund through the foundation has been established to offer support, Northside said in the release.
