Destinations for the city's products included Canada, Japan, and the United Kingdom.

The Atlanta area contributed almost $20 billion to the global economy through exports during the year 2013, the Department of Commerce said.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution cites a report from the department which states that the Atlanta metro region exported $18.8 billion in goods last year, a four percent jump from 2012’s levels. The increase made Atlanta the 18th most export-driven economy in the country.
