Former Norcross Blue Devil Named to SEC All-Freshman Team

Former Norcross High School football star Lorenzo Carter was one of three University of Georgia players to be named to the All-SEC Freshman Team, the Dawg Post reported.

Carter, a linebacker, has 33 tackles, six tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks this season for the Bulldogs.
The 6-foot-6, 237-pound Carter has started the last four games for UGA. He was named the conference Defensive Lineman of the Year after his first start, a nine-tackle performance against Kentucky.

Tight end Jeb Blazevich of Charlotte and running back Nick Chubb of Cedartown, Ga., also were named to the team.
