Smyrna Job Seekers: IT Firm Bringing Jobs to Cumberland Area

The Cumberland area will see approximately 150 new jobs when a healthcare information technology company expands its operations near the location of the Atlanta Braves’ new SunTrust Park.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Carrollton’s Greenway Health will open a new “innovation facility” in the immediate vicinity of the new stadium, which will be completed by Opening Day 2017. The positions at the Cumberland facility were described as high paying and including positions from entry-level workers to senior development jobs.

A spokesman for the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce told the AJC that SunTrust Park was a key factor in drawing Greenway to Cobb County, as the company is seeking younger workers who would enjoy an office environment located close to a sports stadium and its associated development projects.
